Biran Patel, CHO
Biran has been an AAHOA member since 2001, Lifetime Member since 2008, and proactive leader since 2010. He now serves as North Texas Regional Director and previously was an Ambassador.
Under his leadership as Regional Director, North Texas repeatedly achieved record highs in PAC contributions, Lifetime Members, and paid members.
Currently, he serves on the Strategic Planning plus Membership Committees. He has served on the Sponsorship; Independent Hotelier; and 2017 Annual Convention Site Selection Committees.
When elected Secretary, he intends to continue AAHOA’s momentum, notably in the three key areas of advocacy, industry leadership, and membership/benefits.
A second-generation hotelier, he started learning hospitality as a teenager while his family lived at the hotel they owned. Today, his portfolio includes both branded and independent hotels.
He has been on the board of the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association since 2014 and earned his degree in finance from the University of Texas, Austin.
Jayesh Lallu has a unique path to the hospitality business. He was born and raised in Colon, Panama. After spending years in Panama in the retail, wholesale, and import/export businesses, Jay moved his family to Athens, Texas where he got his start at a Best Western.
Eventually, Jay purchased his first property, a Days Inn, in Fordyce, Arkansas, he stays very active in his local community and in AAHOA. Some of Jay’s involvement includes:

Jay currently resides in Cabot, Arkansas with his wife Rina, daughter Hershila, and mother Savitaben. While he’s not campaigning to be AAHOA’s next secretary, Jay enjoys watching movies & listening music, spending quality time with family, following politics, and giving back to his local community.

Lina is AAHOA’s life time member for 10 years, Ambassador for 5 years, and participated in many legislative advocacy summits.
As AAHOA’s Ambassador in North-Central region, she has help achieve membership growth, increased women participation, and hosted many successful Town halls.
When elected, she intends to focus on keeping women engaged in AAHOA, create rich educational agendas, and keep AAHOA progressing.
At age 13, she immigrated to USA and started gaining experience in hospitality industry. She graduated from Wright-State University, joined corporate world, then settled in hospitality industry when she purchased her first hotel in 1998.
She was the first woman elected on the board of LPS-of-USA. Currently, she is heading the LPS School-building project that is under construction in Nepal.
Lina’s dedication, Industry experience, and community involvement gives her the edge to fulfill the role. She puts her heart and soul in everything she does and with a smile.
Young Professional- Eastern Division
Purvi Panwala, CHO
Purvi is a second-generation hotelier, Purvi has been a member of AAHOA for almost six years, Mid-Atlantic Ambassador for three years and serves on the Young Professional Hotelier Committee.
She actively participated in Washington legislative summits since 2014, and was selected to join officers at advocacy meetings with legislators. During last year’s annual convention, she served on a hotelier roundtable.
She started learning hospitality at age 6 with “hands on” experience at properties owned by family. Her impressive leadership skills include being president of a company that owns three hotels and a board member of Surati Modh Vanik Samaj USA.
She is a local leader with Habitat for Humanity and in programs for the homeless. She majored in business administration at Drexel University.
Her special interest is getting more young people to consider – and choose – hospitality as a dynamic, rewarding career. She lives in Pennsylvania, enabling her to be especially effective serving the Eastern Division.

Girish (Gary) Patel
Girish (Gary) Patel, CHA, CHO has a long history in the hotel industry, shadowing his parents at their business and then entering the industry himself in 1995. He owns and operates three hotel locations in his town of Searcy, AR.
He has been an AAHOA Ambassador for the last five years, a Convention Committee Member for the last three years, and has attended nine consecutive Legislative Summits. Gary has been tireless in his efforts to increase membership and raise money for the AAHOA PAC, and in 2015 he received the Gulf Premiere Ambassador Award for his dedication to the association. This will be Gary’s second year as a Board member of the Arkansas Lodging Association and the Searcy Chamber of Commerce. Last year Gary was appointed by Senate Pro Temp Jonathan Dismang to serve as one of the seven committee members on the State of Arkansas Minority Business Advisory Council.
Vimal Patel has over 20+ years’ experience owning and managing profitable Hilton, Marriott, and IHG Hotels. As CEO and President of Q Hotels, Vimal leads over 200 team members to operate powerful brands, inspire a culture of learning, and apply a stable platform toward efficient hotel operations. Vimal is Committed in supporting AAHOA members as the 2017 Louisiana Gulf Regional Director, by providing effective solutions toward hospitality ownership. Vimal resides in LaPlace with his wife, Mina and his two teenage daughters, Shalini and Sejal.

Naresh (Nick) Patel
Niranjan (Neil) Patel
Neil has dedicated his life to public service and embodies a true spirit of hospitality, partnership, and advocacy. Neil has been an AAHOA member since 1995 and is currently a Lifetime Member and an Ambassador for AAHOA in Ohio. After graduating with a Business degree from Gujarat University in 1979 he moved to the United States. In 1994 he purchased his first hotel and currently holds ownership interest in two properties.
Neil has served as President and Chairman for the Central Ohio Chapter of FIA and Neil has worked with the Indian Consulate in NY and arranged meetings with businesses throughout Ohio. His political experience includes Candidate, Ohio State Senate, District 19 in 2014 and 2010.
Neil’s experience and leadership will best serve the mission of AAHOA and to the members they represent in the North Central Region.

Sunil (Sunny) Patel, CHO
Sunil Patel, CHO has been in the hospitality business for over 20 years. He is a co-founder and managing partner of PTM Enterprise, LLC. He currently owns and operates multiple hotels in Central New York.
Sunil has been an AAHOA Ambassador for the past five years and has attended nine consecutive Legislative Summits. This will be the second year that he has served on the Revenue Generation Committee. He is committed in supporting AAHOA members by providing effective solutions toward hospitality ownership.
Sunil has a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from D.D.I.T. in Nadiad, India and a Master's degree in Computer Science from N.J.I.T. in Newark, New Jersey.

Mayur (Mike) Patel
Mayur is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Prosper Hospitality. Mayur is driven to give back to AAHOA, the hotel industry, and beyond. Therefore, he is active with Aahoa and many tourism and hospitality organizations. Currently, Mayur serves as a board member of the Dallas Tourism Public Improvement District, Hotel Association of North Texas, and is on the Franchise Advisory Council for G6 Hospitality.
For many years Mayur has shown continuous involvement and interest within AAHOA. He has served as an Ambassador for five years, has attended 10 Legislative Summits, and served on various committees.
Mayur’s accomplishments include: graduating from Southern Methodist University in 2010 with two Bachelor’s degrees; Real Estate Finance and Economics. Along with many awards from G6 Hospitality for top performance and leadership, Mayur was awarded Outstanding Young Professional Hotelier in 2015 and was the Premier Ambassador for AAHOA’s North Texas Region the past two years.
